  • The laser head is not included in the STANDARD KIT. Please choose the laser head if you want to use the laser engraving function.
  • The diameters of both spindle and ER11 are correct, but ER11 is minus tolerance to spindle which means you cannot mount ER11 directly. ER11 needs shrink fitting.

    So far works good. You should read documentation and watch the video BEFORE and DURING assembling the machine.

    Please note that the video demonstrates the assembling of very similar CNC, but ANOTHER model.

    All the parts to assemble the actual machine were there and the assembly was pretty easy by following some YouTube videos. I couldn’t log onto PCloud (“incorrect username or password” error message). I sent them an email asking how to log on and received an indecipherable response.
    I Discovered the assembly instructions were also on the included CD after I had it assembled and I’m assuming there wasn’t anything else important contained in PCloud.
    I didn’t receive the power supply shown in the pictures and I understand it was a promotional item included with this purchase (in the “answers” section to this listing) but I did get the necessary power cords and converter to run the machine.
    The ER11 collet doesn’t fit and I found another YouTube video showing a guy pounding it on with a claw hammer. In the answers section for this item someone suggested using emory paper to reduce the size of the motor spindle and I saw a suggestion from the vendor to heat the collet. I tried heating it in boiling water but that didn’t work and I’m hesitant to use a torch – I’ll probably try the claw hammer approach after I convince myself I won’t care if it ever comes off again and that I probably won’t bend the motor spindle. Overall, the fit & finish of the parts were better than I expected and I’m impressed with the whole concept of farming out assembly to the consumer.
    I haven’t used it to actually cut anything yet but I did get the software installed and could activate the stepper motors and turn on the spindle motor. Seems to be running fine. The 10 cutting tools included with the package are all “V groove” cutters and are identical.
    Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase and would buy it again.

    Well packaged. All parts were neatly put into box. I took my time (about 8 hours to put together) and have it up and running. I am amazed at how well it went and all motors are running smoothly so far. Watch YouTube videos and you will find it easier to put this together. Some of the instructions are sketchy but it went together as pictured. I have been testing it for a day now so it is time to try it out tomorrow. This is my first cnc machine so I have a lot to learn and this didn’t cost that much to learn on. I would buy again and very happy with this purchase.

    If you’re a DIYer and wanting to get into the world of CNC, I can’t recommend this highly enough. Everything you need is here, and the parts are good quality. Assembly of the frame took about 3 hours, and setup / calibration is a high learning curve. Note that I am NOT using the included software, as I’m operating from a MAC. There is no shortage of freeware out there to get you up and running though, and when in doubt, google searches are your friend. The seller has been VERY helpful, responding to emails usually within a couple of hours.

    This is my first trip into CNC, gcode, arduino, stepper motors, etc. I came in with ZERO experience, and it’s been a lot of fun. A couple of weeks in and I’m designing and milling parts with great accuracy. If there is a con, I will point out that the mounting bracket for the spindle is not metal, but a plastic of some sort. Because of this, if you try to route too deep in a pass, it can catch and stutter/flex a bit. I keep my passes light, which takes a bit longer, but ensures that the final piece is nice and clean.

    Worth noting, I made the following upgrades / enhancements. This is NOT a reflection on what was included, just wanted to customize a bit:

    -replaced the included board with an Arduino brand board and CNC shield
    -added end stops for homing
    -added a 1/2″ MDF spoilboard to the top
    -added rubber feet to the base (cuts down on noise considerably, and ensures that your device doesn’t rattle itself off of whatever surface you have it on

    I also plan on upgrading the spindle at some point. Nothing wrong with the included one, but I’d like to try one with a bit more juice.
